It has never been more important to be financially wise. We are
often not taught this stuff at school and often in later life, are only partially
'educated' on it by someone who is trying to sell us something such as
a life assurance plan or some wacky investment (or 'get out of debt') scheme that
never seemed to work out. |

Earning a good income, although important is often not enough - and there are
only so many hours in a day. Learn to become financially intelligent about passive
income (ie where your constant presence is not required) and portfolio
income (ie stocks) as it really is pretty simple. |

Kids will get it. They're smart too. Help them to understand
the difference between an asset and a liability - income and expense
and they'll thank you for it. |

Be a transition figure - there's never been so much personal debt and
dependency on others; (our employer, our families or the government)
for our financial survival. Educate yourself and help educate others around you.
Be more at peace with money. |

The first Finance Academy™ in Southern California begins early in 2006
and will be based in Santa Clarita - the fastest growing city
in Los Angeles.
By October 2006, the second Finance Academy™ will be opened in Santa
Monica with the third and fourth (Pasadena and Ventura)
to start in early 2007.
Initially the modules will be facilitated in English but from 2007 the 4 sites
will also offer Spanish speaking modules.
 From
2008, Finance Academy™ will be available for franchise
so that it can be offered on a class-based setting outside of the California State.

The programs are class room based although by 2007 Finance Academy™ will
be available on an elearning basis - so that students can access
the material at anytime from anywhere in a way that best suits
them.
The facilitators are highly educated in the field of financial intelligence
and have much to contribute through their life experiences on the subjects covered:
Paul Butler is married with two young children and had a very
successful global corporate life prior to starting newleaf with
his business partner, Rachel Leonard. He is an international CPA, an active investor
in stocks and has a strong personal net worth.
Rachel Leonard like Paul held senior positions in international
companies prior to moving to Los Angeles. She was bought up in business with her
Father owning a very successful and now long-established manufacturing company
in Europe. She learnt how to build a passive income model that can do the work
for you.
